Stefano Abbadessa Mercanti

In 2022, in collaboration with the Santa Cecilia Conservatory (Rome), the Licino Refice Conservatory (Frosinone) and the Ottorino Respighi Conservatory (Latina), he organized the first edition of the Giovanni Abbadessa Piano Prize
Since 2015 is president of the VA Culture Association, organizing hundreds of events (lectures, exhibitions, concerts, talks with writers and artists). In 2019 the Association’s cultural program obtained the High Patronage of the European Parliament. 
Highlights 2019-2020: “Incontri teologici nazionali”; “Ritratto Pasolini: alla riscoperta di un autore”. 
2007, for Sguardi.info: “L’Altra Roma,” in collaboration with Comunità di Sant’Egidio, Arca di Noè, Consulta delle Carceri di Roma, and several figures of Rome’s cultural scene; “Uzbekistan, un paese, tante culture, il più grande disastro ambientale del mondo”. 

Film Events Conceived and organized the 2006 National Short Film Competition Il Lazio, terre, genti e miti. The jury was chaired by Gianfranco Mingozzi (winner of the “Leone d’oro” award in Venice and the “Nastro d’argento award” in 1965, and nominated for the Academy Award in 1965). Jury members were Piera Degli Esposti (actress), Giacomo Gambetti (movie critic), and Elettra Caporello (screenwriter).

Organized the Second edition of the Il Lazio, terre, genti e miti competition, 2007. Jury chaired by Giuliano Montaldo (director). Jury members: Roberto Citran (actor), Bianca Silvestri (writer), Luigi Di Mauro (poet), Oriana Maerini (film critic), Claudio Barbati (documentarian).
